Re: The Game AI Game Engine

Maybe this is a good time to present my own stuff. You could create a good game AI quite easily using my AI library which can be found here: https://quickgit.kde.org/?p=scratch%2Fingwa%2Flibkdeai.git The positive: I'm developing it actively and it will soon get more alphabeta optimizations, threaded...

Does anybody know where you should stay during the conference/competition? A hotel? Some student dorms?

I am strongly considering going and I'd like to book early.

Re: Jens Lieberum's articles

Are you sure there were others? My memory is there was only this one: Lieberum, J.: An Evaluation Function for the Game of Amazons. Theoretical Computer Science 349 (2005) 230-244, which is cited above. P.S. If you are able to email him, perhaps you can also encourage him to send a message to me as...

Re: Jens Lieberum's articles

Yes, that's the first and most important one. Thanks.

But he also wrote a number of followup articles which he published (only?) at his own website. And those I cannot find either. Any tips there?

Jens Lieberum's articles

Jens Lieberum wrote a number of articles about evaluation functions in Amazons more than 10 years ago. I can't find them online now. Does anybody either have a copy that they could send me or point to where I can download them now?

Re: Data structures for PN-search

However, many of the details are hidden in the references so I hope that I will be able to get those online. On this note, does anybody have the PDF for "Gnodde: New Search Techniques Applied to Othello"? It contains some interesting information and I have so far only seen it in lists, no...

Re: Data structures for PN-search

Hi, Welcome, and thanks for participating in the forum. I have no experience with implementing PN search, so I cannot give expert advice. But you'll probably find the answer to your question in section 5 of that paper, written by the experts: https://webdocs.cs.ualberta.ca/~mmueller/ps/ICGA2012PNS....

Data structures for PN-search

I will test this new forum with a real question. :) I have read a lot about PN-search and all its variations and improvements. One thing that I never saw anybody mention was how to represent the tree efficiently. The naïve solution is to have a node with a vector or linked list of pointers to its ch...
