What is the current best Hex program? It would be great if it would be an open source. I've got an enhancement for connecting games in my mind and I'm looking for a test background.

Hello,
the strongest program I know of is MoHex from the benzene project, located at https://sourceforge.net/projects/benzene/. Apparently MoHex has won the computer olympiad in 2015: https://icga.leidenuniv.nl/?page_id=1315#hex11 (and also in previous years).
(A late reply is perhaps better than none?)
