TORCS

Post by Rémi Coulom »

Hi,

In case some of you don't know, TORCS is also an interesting challenge for programmers. It is a car-racing simulation, where programmers have to write the car driver:
http://torcs.sourceforge.net/
http://www.berniw.org/trb/ (where races are organized)

It is the successor of RARS
http://rars.sourceforge.net/

A few chess programmers participated in RARS (Gian-Carlo Pascutto, Tim Foden, and myself). Maybe you'll find TORCS interesting too.

Hi,

Do you know if it is possible to turn off the screen (rendering) while training a model (slow process) to drive a car in TORCS?

Thanks
Eric

Hi,

The TORCS forum might be a better place to ask:
